Navigating home insurance policies in California and why it’s so tricky.

By now, you must have heard about the home insurance issues plaguing California real estate. If you’re hesitating to buy a home because of this, don’t worry—the Parsons Real Estate Team has you covered. Today, I will explain why homeowners are finding it difficult to get their homes insured and how you can insure yours:

Insuring homes in California has become challenging for insurance companies lately. This could be due to two potential reasons: the home is located in a fire zone, or the area hasn't yet been surveyed by the company. You can avoid this problem by researching about the area before purchasing a home. If you have an agent, your agent can help you research extensively about the area and nearby communities.

However, a lot of agents in California only sell around four homes per year, which is roughly one home per quarter. This lack of experience means they are not well equipped to help you as a buyer or seller navigate the market. Here at Parsons Real Estate Team, we help clients like you every day, so we know how to guide you through the entire process. For your real estate needs, whether you’re buying or selling, reach out to us anytime or call me at 626-340-8050.
