How Inflation Affects Real Estate
Written by Brian Parsons
Inflation has been in the news a lot lately, and today I want to discuss how it will affect buyers and sellers in the real estate market.
Investing in real estate is a great way to hedge against inflation. The cost of nearly every good is rising, but so is your home’s value. As of right now, home price appreciation is far outpacing inflation.
If you have a fixed mortgage, your home is increasing in value while your payment stays the same. Inflation causes home prices to rise, which is a good thing for homeowners and investors.
If you are renting, it’s still a great time to buy and catch some of this insane equity. It’s not the easiest time to purchase a home, but real estate is a fantastic way to build your net worth and hedge against future inflation.
If you have any questions about buying, selling, or the real estate market in general, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
